Keith Henderson of the Whitehall Police Department, and Officer Michael Albert of the Baldwin Police Department killed Jonny Gammage (sometimes spelled "Johnny Gammage") on State Route 51 on October 12, 1995, after stopping him due to racial profiling in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania. Muholland had claimed that Gammage was "driving erratically" because he made brake stops on the road. Muholland and Albert were tried twice which both ended in hung juries, and their attorneys successfully argued that a third trial would be double jeopardy. Vojtas was acquitted by an all white jury.
